Nothing. No subscription, no premium tier, no card at sign-up. BabyWish pays for itself through affiliate links: when a gift is bought through some store links, the retailer may pay us a commission, and your guest pays exactly the same price either way.

Yes, BabyWish can be tried before signing up: open the demo registry to walk through a finished baby registry and try reserving a gift, no account needed. You only sign up when you want a registry of your own.

Keep both — they do different jobs. A store registry gives you its own perks, like Amazon's completion discount or Target's welcome kit, each on conditions the store sets and can change. What it cannot give you is the crib from the store that does not sell on Amazon. Run the store registry for the perks and BabyWish for the whole picture; just mark gifts off in both, because the two never talk to each other.

No. There is no public directory to search, and search engines are kept out. Your registry lives at one long, unguessable address, and that address is the key: anyone it gets forwarded to can open it, so send it to the people you would invite.

No. They tap your link, pick a gift and leave a name and an email — that is the whole thing. No password, no app, no verification email to hunt for. They get a confirmation with a private link, in case they change their mind later.

From your dashboard, copy the registry link, send it in a message or show a QR code. Anyone with the link can open the registry, including people it has been forwarded to.

The best time to start a baby registry is usually before the baby shower, so the link can go out with the invitation — in practice, late second trimester or early third. Starting earlier on BabyWish costs nothing: you can keep editing after you have shared the link, and guests always see the current version rather than the one you sent.

Set a target on the expensive item and let people chip in. Each guest leaves a name and the amount they want to put toward it, and the bar fills as pledges come in. You settle up with them the way your family already sends money.

No, and that is the point: the money goes straight from your guests to you, by whatever method you already use between you. BabyWish keeps the tally and nothing else, so no cut is taken and nobody waits on a payout.

Yes. Add an item such as “diaper fund” with a target amount and enable group gifting. Guests pledge an amount; BabyWish does not collect or transfer money and charges no fee on pledges. Guests arrange payment directly with you. Any fees charged by your chosen payment provider are separate.

Yes. Copy the product URL, paste it into your registry and BabyWish fetches the title, price and photo where the store makes them available. Amazon usually works; some stores block automated readers, so glance at the fields and type in anything that came back empty.

Yes. The confirmation email contains a personal link to review or cancel the reservation. A reservation cannot be edited: to pick a different gift or quantity, cancel it and reserve again. Keep that message so you can find the link again.

You receive an email when a guest reserves a gift or pledges a contribution, with the guest’s name and, for a pledge, the amount. Other guests only see the running total on the progress bar.

Everyone you send the link to, and nobody browsing for it. Registries are never indexed by Google and cannot be looked up by name. If your cousin forwards the link to another cousin, that cousin gets in too — usually what you want, and worth knowing before you post it anywhere public.

The BabyWish baby pool is a free guessing game for the wait, and a shower game that needs no printables: you create the baby pool, share the link, and friends and family guess the birth date, time, sex and weight. When the baby arrives you enter the real numbers and BabyWish scores everyone and publishes the leaderboard. You can attach it to your registry.

BabyWish is available in 8 languages: English, Italian, French, Spanish, German, Polish, Portuguese and Romanian — and each guest can switch language from the selector at the top. Yes, you can sign in to BabyWish with Google: Google sign-in works alongside email and password, so there is one less password to remember.

Yes, the currency of a BabyWish registry can be changed, and it is set per registry: USD, EUR, CHF, GBP, PLN, RON, BRL, SAR, AED, JPY, KRW and CNY are available. The currency is only a display label; entering a price at all is optional.
