BabyWish is the digital baby registry built for families: free, commission-free, and with privacy first. Here's who builds it, why we do it, and how it really works.
Our mission
We want to take the stress out of one of life's most beautiful moments: expecting a child. BabyWish was created to avoid duplicate gifts, let even the less tech-savvy relatives take part, and let those giving a gift choose where and how to buy — without the family having to pay anything to organize all of this.
How it works, in brief
You create your baby registry in just a few minutes, add products from any store (even by pasting Amazon links), and share a single link on WhatsApp. Friends and relatives reserve a gift without creating any account, and for bigger gifts they can team up with a group gift. You get an email notification with every reservation.
Why it's free (and what that really means)
BabyWish is free, with no subscriptions and no commissions on gifts. We don't process payments: for a group gift, guests pledge an amount and pay it directly to you (bank transfer, cash, or a physical gift), so we keep nothing and there are no hidden costs. The purchase always happens between the gift giver and the store they choose — we simply organize the reservations.
Privacy and data
Data is hosted in the European Union, passwords are encrypted, and we only use essential cookies until you give your consent. Registries are private by default: they aren't indexed by search engines and open only with the link you choose to share.
Who's behind the project
Roberto Tumini — Founder
BabyWish is an independent project created and run by Roberto Tumini, who handles product development and privacy decisions. The idea came from a real need: a baby registry that's simple, honest, and truly free, without the commissions and constraints of existing platforms.
The editorial team
Our blog guides are written by our editorial team, which covers pregnancy, newborns, and organizing your baby registry. The articles gather good practices and reliable sources, but they don't replace the advice of your doctor or midwife.
Irene — Blog writer
Irene writes practical guides for the BabyWish blog on baby registries, the layette, and the first months with a newborn, with a hands-on approach and no beating around the bush.
Viviana — Blog writer
Viviana handles the in-depth articles on the BabyWish blog about newborn care, safety, and nursery products, focusing on what really matters.
