Origin and meaning of Pasquale
Pasquale comes from the Christian Latin Paschalis, 'relating to Easter', itself from the Hebrew pesach, 'passage': it was the name given to children born around Eastertime. It thus carries a strong religious sense of rebirth and good omen. In Italy it is a traditional men's name, typical and very common in the South, especially in Campania; as Pascal and Pascual it is common in France and the Spanish-speaking world.
