Origin and meaning of Aitana
Aitana comes from the Sierra de Aitana, the highest mountain range in Alicante province, whose name likely has pre-Roman roots. It stayed rare until Penélope Cruz and Javier Bardem chose it for their daughter, giving it huge media visibility. Today it ranks among Spain's favorites, boosted further by singer Aitana Ocaña. Parents are drawn to its nature connection and its elegant, contemporary sound.
