Origin and meaning of Ghala

Ghala (غلا) comes from the root gh-l-w, shared with 'ghali' (precious, costly), and describes something or someone of immense worth, too valuable to be priced. Within the family of Arabic feminine names it sits alongside forms like Ghalia, all built to express that the daughter is an irreplaceable treasure to her family.
