Origen y significado de Tamara
Tamara comes from the Hebrew Tamar, 'date palm', a tree that in the Bible symbolises beauty, fertility and victory. The name spread widely across the Slavic and Caucasian world, worn proudly in Russia and Georgia, and from there reached all of Europe. In Italy it is prized for its exotic, elegant sound and is also known in Germany, Poland and Spanish-speaking countries. The original form Tamar remains alive in the Hebrew tradition.
