Origen y significado de Silvano
Silvano descends from the Latin Silvanus, built on silva, 'forest, woodland': Silvanus was the Roman deity protecting woods, fields and boundaries. The name thus evokes nature, rustic calm and a deep bond with the land. In Italy it spread widely, especially in the twentieth century, and remains linked to rural and Christian tradition; today it is less common among newborns but keeps a warm, reassuring tone. Outside Italy it is little used.
