Origen y significado de Sabino
Sabino comes from Latin Sabinus, 'belonging to the Sabines,' the ancient Italic people who lived in the mountains north-east of Rome and who, according to legend, merged with the Romans at the city's dawn. It is therefore a name with deeply Italic roots. Borne by several saints of the early Christian centuries, it is common above all in central-southern Italy and, in identical form, in Spain. Today it is traditional and rather rare, with an ancient, rustic flavour tied to the peninsula's remotest history.
