Origen y significado de Danilo

Danilo comes from the Hebrew Daniyyel, 'God is my judge', and is one of the best-loved forms of Daniel. The name blends spirituality and moral firmness, inspired by the biblical prophet who interpreted dreams and visions. Very common in Italy, it is hugely popular in the Balkans too, especially Serbia and Montenegro. Abroad it lives alongside Daniel, Daniele and the Slavic Daniil, recognisable throughout Europe.
